Please answer. For most pairs of parametric equations, the parameter t represents the time (in a unit such as seconds or days) after a particular event occurs. Explain why time is such an appropriate parameter.

Because in real life if you throw a ball not only have a (x,y) coordinate to specify where the ball is located, but it can also be tracked by time as well. All problems involving real life situations involve time and since when using parametric equations the graph always has a parameter that points in a certain direction, time is appropriate parameter because time only flows (classically) forward.
