Why should new citizens learn about the Watergate Scandal??

They should learn about the Watergate Scandal, in my opinion to show how corrupt political parties are, (Because they are) and how in the end Justice is Blind :)

Watergate was during Nixon's presidency, and he lied about the breakin of the Democratic Headquarters in Watergate. Since Nixon was Republican, he wanted to know the secrets behind the Democratic Party. Eventually Nixon was tried and before he was impeached, he resigned. He is the only president to resign from office.
