Hi everyone! I have posted my work as 36.bmp Please help me finish solving this quadratic formula...Thanks! :o)
I need the final answer to be 6/2-3sin(theta)
To be honest, I'm not even sure if i'm doing this correctly
and let me rephrase...I THINK the final answer needs to 6/2-3sin(theta) but I'm not even sure about that anymore because the numbers don't match my work on the calculator
I have to go to bed but please post whatever help or advice you can give...I will look at it in a few hours! Thanks everyone!
you can write the bottom as \[ 8 \cos^2 -8 \sin^2 - 2\sin^2 \\ 8(\cos^2 - \sin^2)- 2\sin^2 \\ 8(1-2\sin^2) - 2 \sin^2\] using the identity cos^2 - sin^2 = 1-2sin^2 simplify, factor a sum of squares, and cancel terms you get 6/(2-3sin)
