Hello. I am writing an article for a magazine and wish to use a quote from a pastor's sermon I found online. Unfortunately, that pastor has now retired and I can't find any contact info for him. Can I still use his quote in my article? Also can you tell me the copyright law on quoting a sentence or two from a book? Thank you!

I think it'd be okay to quote him as long as you mention his name. Lots of people quote famous icons but they have no means of contact to that person.
