sequence {An}={cos(n)/(n)} : is this increasing? decreasing? or neither?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi

OpenStudy (experimentx):

the sequence is some what alternating type ... neither is perhaps better option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the alternating type?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

what do you call this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alternating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you figure out this will be alternating type by just looking at the equation?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

What is the nature of cosine? it will give you all values between -1 ad 1 first goes to +1 then comes back to -1 and goes to +1 ... and so on and on. just check your function first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i got it. so i could figure out by plugging in numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tthank you!

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yep!! than you can
