Which of these is an example of a non-random sample?

At a school assembly, five students are randomly chosen to receive free admission to a theme park. B. Registered voters in Arizona are surveyed to determine if they have relatives in Florida. C. Airline passengers to Orlando, Florida, are asked about vacation plans. D. Out of all the seventh grade students in a public school district, fifteen are chosen to win a trip to a vacation destination.

haha this reminds me of AP Stats. C. is not random. A and D are randomly selected so they are random.so i would say B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its c because it's non random

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the def. of non sample is surveyinh the entire population. it depends on the question. If the question asked for the population of ALL passengers, it may be biased because all of them are going to orlando and may all reply about vacation plans in florida. i would say b personally, but it depends on the wording of the question.

60%(b + $20.00) = 60%(b) + $12.00 A. The amount donated to a school was 60% more than $12.00. B. Summer paid $12.00 more than 60% of b. C. The cost for a coat was 60% of the sum of b and $12.00. D. Shawn owed 60% of his tuition bill, b, after paying $12.00. do you know this
