The distance between the end of a lamppost's shadow and the top of the lamppost is 39 feet. The angle measure of the shadow is 23°. How long is the shadow of the lamppost, rounded to the nearest tenth of a foot? Type the numeric answer only in the box below. Numerical Answers Expected!

I had 36 but it wasn't correct.
Use Cos 23° = x/39 and find x
Cos(x°) = Length of adjacent side / length of hypotenuse
I thought that is what I did, I used my scientific calculator
35.89 maybe it asked you to round it to nearest 10th or 100th or something I don't know I got 36 too

Ok i see what my problem was I mis read it. I rounded it to 36. It should be 35.9 because it is rounded to the neearest 10th. Thanks.
