The Bay of Pigs ended as a failure. The CIA under Kennedy's presidency trained Cuban refugees to rebel against Cuba in an attempt to take over the island. The refugees failed miserably, and many of them were executed. The invasion plot was a total failure, and countries view the US as weak, especially the Soviet Union.
