Lay out 4 equations and FOIL them from left to right until you have done them all. \[(\sqrt{2}-i)*(\sqrt{2}-i)*(\sqrt{2}-i)*(\sqrt{2}-i)\]

@eSpeX i am not really sure how this works because i just started learning this at school if you could explain me a bit on how to do it i will be realy grateful

OpenStudy (espex):

Start with the first two \[(\sqrt{2}-i)*(\sqrt{2}-i)\]Using FOIL multiply your terms F - first terms O - outer terms I - inner terms L - last terms Once you have done that you add the next \[(\sqrt{2}-i)\] and do it it all over, add your fourth \[(\sqrt{2}-i)\]and do it again, combine terms and you have your answer.

thanks @eSpeX
