Bernoulli's Equation question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so here is an image. http://i.imgur.com/QRXQNQt.png I have picked points 1 and 2 as indicated. p1 is red and p2 is pink. why is p1-p2=(rho)gh, where h is the height of the standing water column. I have tried to figure this out via the Bernoulli's Equation, however I am struggling, could one please explain thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i think you are asking why (pressure)1-(pessure)2=(rho)gh uhh..tell me the respective pressures i.e pressure 1 and pressure 2...and why are they so?..and i will try to correct your mistake...
