OpenStudy (nosnip):

using trigonometry do you get the same answer for the missing angle regardless of whether you use soh cah or toa? in other words, if i know all three lengths of a triangle and use the 3 different methods to find the angle, should i get the same answer for each method?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. Do you need an example?

OpenStudy (nosnip):

yes please

OpenStudy (nosnip):

what if, just as an example to show the method the triangle isn't right angled? i know trig only works on right angled triangles but to show the method would you get the same answer each time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, since trig applies to right traingles, using one w/o a right angle might be a counter example

OpenStudy (nosnip):

yep i messed it up a bit- don't worry i understand :) cheers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok

OpenStudy (nosnip):

:)
