3. What tactics did the United States use to contain communism in the Western Hemisphere?
@hlee0919 @sabwises @Savannah_Noelle
The US used aggressive force, and foreign aid. The US joined the NATO and created the Marshall Plan. NATO was to use force against communist Russia to prevent the spread of communism. The Marshall Plan was an economic plan to stabilize and give large amounts of money to the countries in Europe devastated by WWII. They also used MAD during Truman's presidency, which stands for Mutually Assured Destruction. This meant that if the Soviets ever fired a nuclear missile, the US would retaliate and coin the term "MAD". The US also used military intervention and threats in the following: Suez Canal Crisis, Missile Crisis, and probably most importantly for US History, the Vietnam War.

thanks #16 How did the Lowell System affect the lives of young, unmarried women in the United States? It offered good workers a chance for advancement. It provided them with access to young, single men. It gave them company-owned towns in which to live. It destroyed their prospects for marriage and family.
C. Lowell systems had dorms. The women had low wages and practically lived right next to the places where they worked.
I think it is A. Not sure, but I think so.

A cant be true. They barely earned money and the women worked in horrible working conditions. Lots of them either died or got severely sick. This led to the Progressive Movement

Montesquieu wanted three branches. Thats how he inspired our US government; the Constitution. Cultural Diffusion is the exchange of ideas,materials,culture, and North African women do not wear jeans and blazers, so Western Culture "diffused" into North African society.
