Hyperbole- exaggerated statement not meant to be taken seriously: I was so embarrassed I could've died. Imagery- Visually descriptive language: The bright yellow sun shined on a field of beautiful white flowers. Allusion- Expression used to indirectly call something to mind: I'm surprised his nose wasn't growing like Pinocchio's. "Used if someone was lying."
