Wel, it is an exam. But I want examples. Not necessarily the ACTUAL ANSWER. You know? And If i was asking for that..then that'd be cheating. And that's a big no no

Um, I can't remember how to do it :(
Here's an example.. say we need to find... \[\Large (x^2 - 3x +2)\div(x-1)\] It's easier to see in fraction form... \[\Large \frac{x^2 -3x +2}{x-1}\] Now, you need to factor the numerator, it factors into (x-2)(x-1) so... \[\Large \frac{(x-2)(x-1)}{(x-1)}\] And from here, you can just go ahead and cancel... \[\Large \frac{(x-2)\cancel{(x-1)}}{\cancel{(x-1)}}=x-2\] Cheers, mate :D
So, what you do is make it into a fraction. Then you separate them? I'm confused

\[\frac ab=q\] \[a=bq\] since we have a presumably correct option to pick; we could eliminate some possibilites the first coeff has to be a product of firsts; and the last coeff has to be a product of lasts
