can someone explain the Harlem Renaissance to me? :)

The Harlem Renaissance took place in the 1920s and was famous for its concentration of talented actos, artists, musicians, and writers. Their artistic acheivement was so great it was called the Harlem Renaissance. Countee Cullen, Langston Hughes, James Weldon johnson, and Claude McKay were only some of the few famously renowned artists. They commented on African American heritage and expressed a range of emotions. Lots of jazz music was also played in Harlem, musicians such as Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong and blues singer Bessie Smith all performed at Harlem.
