can anyone help me with understanding how to solve trig questions that go something like sinx-sinxtan3x=0

OpenStudy (loser66):

factor sinx out. tell me what you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1-tan3x

OpenStudy (loser66):

where sinx? you factor, not cancel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol nevermind I got that one! posted wrong question the one i need help on was sinxtan3x=0

OpenStudy (loser66):

so, just sinx =0 or tan 3x =0 , |dw:1369181247763:dw|

|dw:1369181613023:dw|

OpenStudy (loser66):

so, what's wrong? you cannot have cos 3x =0 since it is in denominator, so tan 3x =0 if and only if the numerator =0, what's wrong with that logic? It's standard. SURE !!!
