Each leg is 4 inches by 4 inches by eighteen inches. How much area will Evan have to paint? Use three point one four for pi. Show your work.
please help somebody......anybody
1635.56
Ok, there are three parts to this question (the third is the 'tricky' portion - we'll come to it). 1. Area of the cylinder seat - 2(pi*14^2)/4 + (pi*14)*4) - (Do your own work to show this is 483.56) 2. Area of the 4 legs = 4{ 2*4*4 + 4*4*18} - (Do your own work to show this is 1280.) 3. The 'tricky part' - Evan doesn't need to paint the area on the seat covered by the ends of the legs (nor those ends either) This (total) area will be 2 * 4 * 4*4 = 128 4. Add the first two, subtract the third - - You should get 1635.56
