Easy: completing sequences!! :) Please help!

You start with $.50 at the beginning of the year. This amount doubles every month. How much will you have at the end of the 12th month? (Careful: you've have been asked to find the amount at the END of the month!) Begin by writing the rule for the sequence.

Please show all steps also. :$

you take .50x2=x

can u show the steps you make until you get to how much u have @ the end of the 12 months? this is all I got:

The general idea is $0.50 * 2 * 2 * 2 ... for a as many 2's as you have months.

total = $0.50 * 2^N

but I need to be a little more descriptive and show all steps also :/ @Notamathgenius
