Help please! ( the picture is below ) How many solutions does the system of equations have? http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/243500_244000/243600/1/1402f6aff0a1a813cd275932e8782525657cb958/VHS_PA_S2_02_L314_UT_Q14.gif A.The system has exactly one solution. B.The system has infinitely many solutions. C.The system has no solution.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Well, if you have a graph, it should be easy to visualise... You have two lines... if they intersect at one point, then there is exactly one solution. If they overlap each other such that it looks like there is only one line, then there are infinitely many solutions. And if they don't even intersect each other (ie, they don't meet at a point), then there are no solutions.

thanks :)

No problem :)
