Well, in 1955, I believe Rosa Parks started the boycott movement thing... Where they boycotted the bus, because of racial/ethnic opposition. They wanted her to move to the back of the bus because she was black, just so a white person could take the better seat. And Martin Luther King Jr. was chosen to lead this movement and thus his career as a civil rights leader began...
