What problems arise from excessive ethnocentrism?
One immediate problem is that it's an extremely narrow view in which to judge anyone by. Different cultures have different standards around the world and by not looking past your own culture to maintain an open mind, you risk warping whatever worldview you see everything else through. What might seem offensive to you might seem natural to someone else in another culture and everyone else that belongs to it. You don't have to like it personally, but judging someone by it and writing them off is doing no one any favors if you refuse to understand why they do it simply because your cultural values tell you otherwise.
Thank you very much!!!!!!
