Biology is a broad area. Usually, those who choose to study biology pick a specialty during their graduate studies. Biology is the study of life, so they can go into: -plant & animal biology -genetics - study of genes and human disease etc., -molecular - a molecular approach, usually DNA, proteins and RNA. -biochemistry - more of a chemistry field, BUT there is a biochemistry-bio side also -biological engineering - more of a semi-medical field, designing stuff on a nano scale..i think nano-scale -microbiology: study of bacteria and pathogens -embryology -early development of life, like sperm and egg fusion, through conception. -ecology - study of ecosystem and plants. - taxonomy: study of how organisms are related and named. -conservation biology: environmental health related. - zoology: study of strictly animals, their behavior and such. these are some of the main ones, but there are OTHER fields of biology that stem from these or come from some field of this in one way or another.
