if you were to translate a point up 2 units and down 3 units, and then move the points down 2 units and up 3 units, what happens? Write this sybolically

Let's say you had the point (x,y). To move a point in the x axis (left or right) you add or subtract by the translation. To move a point in the y axis (up or down) you do the same thing. The first shift would be (x,y +2-3) (Up 2 in y axis then down.) Then the second shift would be (x, y-2+3) (Down 2 in y axis then up). |dw:1369346436590:dw| After both shifts, The point would be at the original spots.
