but server failures or technical problems like this one are always present, so there is not really a say if its gonna cause more problems or if there is gonna be more :)

well they haven't upgraded the website (as far as i know) so i guess this fix won't solve the lag issues. It's probably causing trouble when a massive amount of new members will come and that is during finals (this week). It'll probably not cause trouble during summer holiday but i hope they upgrade the site before next schoolyear starts :)

That makes sense. Many don't come on here in the summer anyways and yes hopefully they do upgrade it. :)

Yep, the site was down for 3 days :P And the site hasn't been updated in any way; the server is still slow, and the site's still laggy with all that AJAX/JavaScript being loaded... But while OpenStudy was down, I tried to help by programming a little alternative I called TAOS http://www.dumbsearch.com/taos
