4x + 2y = 12 x - y = 3 value of variable x
hi, simultaneous equations?
hey im sorry, im like dead and goodness
odd combination, but ok
so with either of the above equations, can you re-arrange one so i will come in the form of: y = something so that way you only have one unknown on the LHS of the equals sign
*so IT will come in the form of
ok
elimination
cool, which equation will you use initially, the 1st or the 2nd?
well i have to find the value of x but i have to use process of elimination
ok, so use equation 2, and multiply both sides of the equation by 2, so you can eliminate the 2y in the other equation
oh ok
it would be threee
what would be 3...?
the answer
??
ok u got 2 variables there, u mean x=3, yeah?
oh then yeah thats what i meant my bad and thank you very much
sweet, spot on dude, slaters
