which value of a solves the equation A.4 B.–32 C.–16 D.8

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Try replacing a with any one of these choices, and see which one works. For example, if we try the first one, 4, then we get \[\large a^{-2}=\frac1{64}\]\[\large (4)^{-2} = \frac1{64}\]\[\large \frac1{16}=\frac1{64}\] Which is not true, so A. is not the answer. Try the others. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but how do you get the fraction

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

What do you mean by that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nm it is d.8
