Is soil radiation used for anything? If so, what? Please help......I can't figure it out.

Are you referring to radiation present in soil as a result of contamination. Or residual radiation. In either case, radiation is used extensively in the dating of objects. As all organic matter contains small traces of carbon 13, the isotopic levels can be related to how old the species is Hope that helps
