OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

What is the y−coordinate of the y−intercept of the line that passes through the points (−4, −4) and (4, 8)? @Mertsj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to find the equation of the line

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

ummm whats the formula ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to find the slope

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

i think so lol xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so whats the slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4-8/-4-4=-12/-8=3/2

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

ohhh i got slope intercept y = 1.5x + 2

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

lol but ok what do i do with the 3/2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your answer is 2

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

why ? ;/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was just trying to get you to the slope-intercept form. slope-INTERCEPT form. the intercept is what you are looking for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the y-intercept is (0,2) your answer is 2

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

ohhh ok thank you soo much :) and if thats u in the pic then ur really cute lol :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
