jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok thx, a screenshot would be best

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here it is:

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hmm very odd, none of the answer choices have an x in them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know thats why i dont get it. should i just guess on it?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

there's definitely a typo, so that's the best you can do really I would mention it to your teacher

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i showed her it and she said the answer is there.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well that's simply not possible, there needs to be an x somewhere in the expression for it to be possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill show her again. lol

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you had something like 3x - 3x, they would add to 0x or just 0 but that sort of thing doesn't happen here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just wrote to my teacher again. Thank you for all your help :D

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
