@whpalmer4
Much better, now I suppose the ball is in my court :-) How many degrees "around" is a circle?
360
Okay, and how much of the circle does sector C represent?
0.35 so 35%
Right. So what is 35% of 360 degrees? (we're assuming that we have a perfect pie shape here, obviously we couldn't do this so easily otherwise)
126 degrees?
For example, we couldn't do that in this drawing:|dw:1369590022115:dw|
Right!
Thanks!
(sorry, I did my mental arithmetic incorrectly the first time, I was thinking 30% :-)
Wait, so is 126 wrong?
No, 126 is correct. The first time I computed it, I did 0.3*360 = 108, and started to ask you to check it, then I realized the problem is actually 0.35*360 and that does = 126, just like you got.
Okay, perfect :)
Right, you were :-)
I have a few more questions if that's okay @whpalmer4
Sure, but it's best to put them in new posts...
Ok, I will do that then. Thanks.
