Please Help I Dont Understand This At All ! Medal && Fan What is the experimental probability that the next person you survey does NOT have a gaming system ?? You take a survey of 250 people ages 13 - 18 and ask whether they have a home gaming system, a portable gaming system, or no gaming system. Age 13 14 15 16 17 18 Home Gaming 12 22 26 32 24 16 Portable Gaming 5 5 4 9 7 6 No Gaming 18 12 8 6 12 16

OpenStudy (espex):

Looks like your probability is 1 in 3 since you have three options and the person can only be categorized into one of them.

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

Does all the people add up to 250 or there are some who do not have a gaming system at all?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

there 240/250 have some type of gaming system so 10 people do not have any gaming system So what will be the probability then?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

The question is P(Not having Gaming System)

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

the total no. adds up to only 240 what happens to the rest 10 whether they have any gaming system or not??

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

The number of people without a gaming system is 72 so based on the survey the probability that a person does not have a gaming system is P( No Gaming System) = 72/250 but you may like to check that the number of responses adds to 250.

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

The no. adds upto only 240
