Solve by Factoring: 9x^2-27x=0 please/thanks

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

this is the easiest thing to factor. See there is no constant term. So you can take the GCF of the remaining 2 terms. What is the GCF of 9x² and 27x?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

@MiloSloan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't it be 9?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

and an x too. 9x

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

so if you take out that what will you have inside the parentheses?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

9x ( ? )

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

@MiloSloan

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

I don't have the whole day you see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, (-3,9) ?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

no I am asking you to factor out the equation . If I take the GCF of 9x out I will rewrite the equation as 9x ( x - 3) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(0,3) ?
