How do I calculate the volume of the figure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thomaster (thomaster):

It's a cube with a pyramid on top

thomaster (thomaster):

calculate them seperately

OpenStudy (raden):

total volume = volume of a cube + volume of a pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the formulas for the cube and pyramid?

OpenStudy (raden):

volume for the cube = s^3 with s is the length of sides of cobe (each same)

OpenStudy (raden):

volume for the pyramid = 1/3 * base area * height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it is 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RadEn

OpenStudy (raden):

Vol of a cube = 3^3 = 3 * 3 * 3 = 27 Vol of a pyramid = 1/3 * 3 * 3 * 2 = 6 add up, it is 27+6=33
