3-d coordinate graph pyramid volume?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how to go about solving it; I'm sure I could find the answer if I knew how to; I'm studying for finals and I don't even remember covering this in class. :(

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

if you see the coordinates for the bottom square. The side of the square extends from - 50 in x to + 50 in x = so the side length is 100 similarly the width of the square -50 in Z to + 50 in Z so side length is 100. So the base is a square of 100 x 100 Now to find the height of the pyramid. |dw:1369620266263:dw| so the height is 80

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

So now it is easy to find the volume using the formula V = (1/3) B.H ; B = Area of Base, H = Height of the Pyramid

Oh thank you, I have loads of these in my problem textbook but I never learned how to do them.
