Question

I need an opinion on a personal statement matter...
I want to go to a university and i must write a personal statement ....thing is I do not have much to write so I was thinking to make a very short statement saying pretty much how much I would like to study and how devoted i would be....no special writing effects , no long stories...what do you think would this work or it would be seen as incompetent and that i was bored to write a more complex P.S. ?

It can be short, but it needs to be compelling. You have to write about something you are passionate about. What would yo like to study? Why? Why would you be devoted to this? It doesnt have to be about study really. IF you were passionate about kayaking, you could talk about that. If you spend your times hacking and coding, you would talk about that. If you felt you learned your attitude to learning from your housekeeper, you could talk about that. It has to be deep, about you and tell them who you are!

thank you Preetha, that is what i were thinking of. I really want to be accepted to the university but I am not that good at writing...so that is why i was thinking a short , sincere and kind of, "right to the point " statement.

Hmmm, you can write simply and yet be powerful. First gather the thoughts. Think deeply. Put them down. Then you can get help with the grammar and stuff here! But let it come from the heart. You shouldn't out source that!
