For what value of x is the statement "log |x| x is defined" never true? a) 0 b) 1 c) e d) 10 Can you please explain? I wasn't there when the teacher taught this.

There's only two conditions where a log is undefined - log0 and log of a negative number. Only one of those can happen here, with |x|.
