How does DNA influence the synthesis of lipids, carbohydrates, and steroids?

Our DNA defines everything about us. I'm pretty sure you know someone who can eat a lot, and i mean a lot and they dont gain a pound. Then you go and eat a couple of slices of pizza, and voila, you've gained 3 lbs. WTH RIGHT?! well this happens because that persons DNA is designed to digest food really fast so they dont gain weight. Your DNA is different and probably not designed to digest food as fast, therefore you gain weight while your friend doesn't. This same idea applies to the synthesis of lipids, carbohydrates, and steroids. Hope that helps...
