Help me multiply please (2n^2+5n+4)(2n-4)

OpenStudy (zale101):

Use distributive property

OpenStudy (zale101):

Distributive property: The sum of two numbers times a third number is equal to the sum of each addend times the third number. For example 4 * (6 + 3) = 4*6 + 4*3

OpenStudy (zale101):

Treat your problem the same way u should when using distributive property.

OpenStudy (zale101):

(2n^2 + 5n + 4)(2n - 4) 4n^3 + 10n^2 + 8n - 8n^2 - 20n -16 can u work it out from up here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um can I get a little more help? I'm really bad at this...

OpenStudy (zale101):

Add like terms. All you have to do is Multiply 2n and -4 times 2n², 5n, and 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you would get 4n^3+2n^2-12n-16 ... right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 im i right?
