How does inheritance and offspring play a role in the evolution of drug -resistance ?

lets say we have 10 bugs okay...and you are trying to kill them off with your Lady Gaga perfume. Lets assume your perfume is really effective and kills 8 of them. Okay, that was pretty effective but now we have 2 left over. Why couldnt your perfume kill these two bugs? well probably because they had some recessive trait that defended themselves against your perfume. Now these two bugs will reproduce and create a generation of bugs who are resistant to perfume. That trait that was recessive will now become dominant. Now you cant use the Lady Gaga perfume and have to find a stronger perfume to kill them off. This same thing happens over and over again...this is what is referred to as drug-resistance
