friends hat should be the answer for this

OpenStudy (espex):

Add them up and divide by 5, as the median is the average of the numbers, and set it equal to 5.

but i m not getting answer

OpenStudy (espex):

Show me what you have done and I will see if I can't help you get an answer.

What is the question??

OpenStudy (espex):

First step is to multiply out your denominator so you can work with the 'x' variable.\[\frac{x}{4}+\frac{x}{5}+x+\frac{x}{3}+\frac{x}{2}=5*5\]

OpenStudy (raden):

setting in increasing order : x/5, x/4, x/3, x/2, x the median is the middle number, it is x/3. therefore : x/3 = 5 x = 13

OpenStudy (raden):

damn, typo ... i mean x=15

OpenStudy (espex):

Ah, I was looking for the "mean", sorry @msingh I was misleading you. @RadEn has given you the correct answer.
