When driving downhill, your vehicle will accelerate and start moving fast, due to _______________. A. kinetic energy B. gravity C. the amount of pressure you put on the accelerator pedal D. wet pavement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cause of the acceleration is that due to the Earth's gravitational pull on your vehicle. The other choices... A. Kinetic Energy - is the resulting energy of an object in motion C. The amount of pressure on your accelerator pedal will speed you car up, but I believe in this question it's just suggesting you're moving downhill without it, and D. The wet or dry pavement does not necessarily matter, if it's wetter the car will accelerate faster because there will be less friction. So all in all...It's good ol gravity!
