are the two compounds a weak acid and its conjugate?
you know if two compounds make a buffer if: 1. you have a weak acid and its conjugate base present 2.if you have a weak base and its conjugate acid
by definition, a buffer contains a mixture of a weak acid and its conjugate base or a weak base and its conjugate acid with very little change in pH when a strong acid/base is added.
oh i undersand so if its a base with an added H. OR an acid with its H taken away. Thankyou all of you!
