how do you find the factors of a polynomial from a graph?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the "factors" or "zeros" for the polynomial is usually where the graph touches the "x" axis, or the x-intercepts, so say |dw:1369770696486:dw| for the graph above, the zeros or "factors" for it would be (x+5)(x-1)(x-5) = 0
