Each of the graphs below is of a polynomial. The windows are large enough to show end behavior. http://www.webassign.net/hgmcalc/1-6-5fig.gif For each of the graphs, what is the minimum possible degree of the polynomial? I'm having trouble finding the minimum degree of graphs IV and V.

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

you have to count the bumps it has. The bumps are the extreme points. And also see if it is an even or an odd function depending on the end behavior. You degree will be the closest number higher than the no. of bumps.

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

Now for no. 4 how many bumps do you see and is the function even or odd?
