Factors to the fall of U.S.S.R
PLEASE HELP?!

Step 1: Study the list of nine images at the bottom of the screen and select five that represent what you believe were the greatest factors that contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union. There is no correct order for this activity, however you must be able to justify the order that you have selected.

Step 2: Create a photo story by arranging the images in order of importance and write a description for each image.

Each description should include the following elements:
The description should be two to four sentences in length.
The description should explain Who, What, Where, When, and Why the person/event is important.

The five pictures I chose are of:
1.)Détente
2.)Solidarity
3.)Prague Spring
4.)Gorbachev appointed as Communist Party General Secretary
5.)Fall of Berlin Wall

Okay, you have your five pictures. So how did each one contribute to the end of the Soviet Union? What else do you have so far to help answer that question? For example, what would you say about detente?

the easing of tensions created by detente changed the competition between the West and the Eastern Bloc from military confrontation to economic competition. Reagan later correctly intuited that the disparate economic strengths of the West and the East ( or more specifically the USSR and the USA ) meant that the Communist Bloc couldn't compete with the US and NATO if military buildup were matched.
