How would one graph (X-3) squared plus (Y+2) squared = 9 ?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

It's a circle of radius 3 centered on (3,-2). That's what the form is all about - making this an eyeball problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would you form the circle using that point?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

However you would like. Go find some round kitchen implements that are the right size. Compass? Freehand? Give it a go!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since the radius is 3 we can go North south, east and west to form points on the circle correct?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You can freehand plot at least four points. From the center, (3,-2), and the radius, 3, you have these: (6,-2) (0,-2) (3,1) (3,-5)

thank you very much! that really helped.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Awesome. Good work.
