The Cuban Missile Crisis led the US & Soviet Union to: A. move toward detente B. tear down the berlin wall C. fight several battles in Cuba D. break off diplomatic relations **will give medal

I'd go with (A) move toward detente, or a relaxation of tensions. The Cuban Missile Crisis was one of those moments in history where we came closest to WW3 and both sides knew it after seeing how far things went. There were no battles fought in Cuba after the Crisis, nor did the US or USSR break off diplomatic relations -- the famous hot line between the White House and the Kremlin (often portrayed as a red phone in some media) was a result of trying to find ways to directly talk to each other to avoid events like this. It also didn't tear down the Berlin Wall. That happened decades later under entirely different circumstances that didn't involve nukes or Cuba.

I agree with @Captain_Page_Turner :) btw, definition of detente is the easing of hostility or strained relations, especially between countries, so choice A definitely makes the most sense! :) Plus, if my memory serves me right, I learned about this earlier and I believe detente was a result of that :)

I just wanted to add that iheartfood is on target with her definition of detente. It was a big thing between the US and the USSR during the Cold War following the Crisis and, in many ways, defined their relationship going forward.

Hehe thanks @Captain_Page_Turner :) and I'd always listen to @Captain_Page_Turner haahah such a genius! :) and i agree! it most definitely defined their relationship from that point on! :)
