What did General MacArthur do to get fired by President Truman?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

It had to do with the fighting in the Korean War. South Korea had already been saved from the communist North Korean side. However, MacArthur wanted to push forces into North Korea to completely defeat the communist forces. Truman went along with it, however, he was worried that the communist government of the Peoples Republic of China might take the invasion as a hostile act and intervene. Which they did, pushing the Americans back into North Korea. MacArthur then wanted to bomb communist China. Truman refused. He then fired MacArthur, stating it would be wrong for the Americans to take the initiative of extending the war.
