Noobie Question Here. I always see the number 255 in computer science. Is there are specific reason why?

Any character or number is stored in bytes of memory. 1 byte is made of 8 bits. 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 ( either of the 2 binary no.s 0 or 1 can be occupied by each - - - - - - - - of the 8 bits) So, total no. of Numbers that can be stored in 8 bits 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2= 256 Any of these 256 numbers can be stored in 1 byte. Since the number has to start from 0, the range is 0 to 255
