I think its B but im not 100% sure
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yay :)
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
Let's check it
x + 2y ≤ 8
-2 + 2(3) ≤ 8 ... replace x with -2 and y with 3
-2 + 6 ≤ 8
4 ≤ 8
that's true, so that answer gets eliminated since we want non-solutions
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks jim :D
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
so what is the actual answer?

wait, so i was wrong ;(
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
yeah it's not B
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
see how I checked and eliminated it?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but 4 is not equal to 8.....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4 ≤ 8 is not correct...

4 ≤ 8 is true since 4 is less than 8
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
4 is not equal to 8, but it's less than 8
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ohhhh okay i get it now
OpenStudy (anonymous):
damn, again wrong :/
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i was sure i read C -_-. really sorry

lol no problem
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay, so ill try and check if C is right
x + 2y ≤ 8
4 + 2(4) ≤ 8
4 + 8 ≤ 8
that is not correct so i guess its C? @jim_thompson5910
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
yeah you have to be careful, they wanted things that were NOT solutions
not things that were...hmm i can see why it's so convoluted and confusing
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
yeah C is false, so C is the answer you want
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes! thx alot jim :)
